SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the PCI Security Standards Council’s Executive Director, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a product management organization to support a go-to-market strategy and full lifecycle of PCI SSC standards and supporting programs. This executive level role provides direction to a team of payment security subject matter experts in the process of product lifecycle planning, delivery, and market launch of PCI SSC standards and services. You will provide oversight of the Standards, Solutions, and Operations teams as well as be a key champion in the development and oversight of internal technology, privacy, and security initiatives. As a PCI SSC leader, you are instrumental in executing on the PCI Mission to enhance global payment account data security by developing standards and supporting services that drive education, awareness, and effective implementation by stakeholders, and fostering a PCI SSC culture of collaboration, accountability, integrity, trust, and respect.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own product strategy by developing and articulating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market needs, customer and stakeholder feedback, evolving threat landscape, business goals, and global legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by working with internal teams to align product development efforts with business objectives.
  • Responsible for the product market readiness strategy, including the prioritization of products release course and product life cycle, and coordination of processes needed to get product and supporting programs ready for market release.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, determine metrics for success in the processes needed to successfully launch a product.
  • Monitor product performance and analyze product metrics, stakeholder feedback, and industry trends to measure program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in technology and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies for improving business processes, enhancing customer experience, and driving innovation in payment account security and standards.
  • Attract, retain and lead a high-performing team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, encouraging professional growth and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Oversight of internal technology initiatives, privacy, security, compliance, and vendor management validation programs.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • 20+ years of experience in security technology and risk management leadership roles, including executive levels. This includes a track record of successfully leading and managing technology teams and operations.
  • 10+ years of experience in product or service management, or similar roles like program management, with a focus on delivery of security services, standards, payment security compliance and technology programs.
  • Strong business acumen including experience with marketing, finance, metrics & reporting, and process engineering.
  • A deep understanding of current and emerging technologies is essential. A strong background in areas such as cyber security, payment security, fraud risk management, infrastructure engineering and operations, and cloud computing.
  • Ability to think strategically and align technology initiatives with business goals. A proven track record of driving innovation and implementing technology strategies that support organizational growth.
  • A solid understanding of business operations and the ability to translate technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes. This includes experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable talking and presenting to large global audiences.
  • The ability to analyze complex problems, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutions is vital.
  • Familiarity with the payments industry and experience working with the PCI SSC Community. This includes an understanding of industry trends, regulations, best practices, security standards and payment technology.
  • Position may be located anywhere in United States near a major metropolitan airport.

 

The minimum starting salary for this role is $275,000 USD annually, plus bonus. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
