PCI Security Standards Council Hires Guilherme Scheibe Regional Director – Brazil

Long time payment security expert to lead Latin American efforts for the PCI SSC

WAKEFIELD, Mass., 29 September 2022– The PCI Security Standards Council, a global standards body for the payment card industry has announced Guilherme Scheibe as the new Regional Director for Brazil and Latin America. This role will seek to expand outreach efforts to educate and promote the importance of the PCI Security Standards within the region.

Guilherme will serve as Regional Director and will be responsible for driving awareness and adoption of the PCI Security Standards for payment card security within Brazil and the broader Latin American region. Guilherme will lead the PCI SSC Regional Engagement Board (REB) which is a collection of payment industry stakeholders who act as advisors to the PCI SSC on payment security issues and challenges in the region, and as ambassadors for helping increase education and awareness of standards and best practices for safe payments. Guilherme will also work closely with merchants, acquirers, financial institutions, security practitioners, law enforcement and other key stakeholders across the Brazilian and Latin American payment eco-system.

Guilherme holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from PUC Minas and has held several payment industry certifications including certification a​s a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), Qualified PIN Assessor (QPA) and a Card Production Security Assessor (CPSA). Guilherme comes to the PCI SSC from Foregenix where he served as a Managing Consultant.
