Key Management and Operations Assessors
PCI Qualified Key Management and Operations (KMO)™ Assessors are independent security organizations that have been qualified by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) to perform assessments of KMO Services against the PCI Key Management and Operations (KMO)™ Standard. Qualified KMO Assessor Companies employ individuals who have demonstrated the knowledge, experience, and expertise necessary to perform PCI KMO Assessments.
The KMO Assessor Program helps ensure that organizations performing PCI KMO Assessments apply the PCI KMO Standard consistently and objectively. Qualified KMO Assessor Companies perform assessments, document the results using PCI SSC reporting templates, and submit validation documentation for consideration by PCI SSC as part of the KMO Program.
To become qualified, KMO Assessor Companies and their assessor employees must meet the applicable program requirements established by PCI SSC, execute the required program agreements, successfully complete required training, and maintain their qualifications through ongoing program requirements. Qualified KMO Assessor Companies are listed on the PCI SSC website.
Organizations seeking assessment of a KMO Service should engage a PCI SSC Qualified KMO Assessor Company to perform the assessment and provide the documentation required for PCI SSC review and listing consideration.
The PCI Security Standards Council maintains an in-depth program for companies and their employees seeking to be certified as KMO Assessors, or re-certified as KMO Assessors each year.
Certification and re-certification indicate only that the applicable KMO Assessor has successfully met all PCI Security Standards Council requirements to perform PCI KMO assessments. The Council does not endorse these providers or their business processes or practices.
Although the PCI Security Standards Council strives to ensure that the KMO Assessors listed on this page is accurate, the list is updated frequently, and the Council cannot guarantee that the list is current at all times.
