PCI Security Standards Council Announces New Three Year Lifecycle For Standards Development

WAKEFIELD, Mass., June 22, 2010 — Today, the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), a global, open industry standards body providing management of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PIN Transaction Security (PTS) requirements and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), announced all three of its standards will follow a three year development lifecycle period, with the release of updated versions of the PCI DSS and PA-DSS in October of 2010.
